January

After years of dreaming about one, I finally acquired an adventure bike – a 2024 Aprilia Tuareg, purchased from AF1 Racing.
February

Claudia, Erin, Andy, and I saw ABC and Howard Jones at the Paramount Theater.
Best Book
Frankenstein (1818) by Mary Shelley
After being slightly disappointed in the latest film adaptation, a visually stunning effort by Guillermo del Toro, I was inspired to seek what I felt to be the film’s missing emotional core within the source material, which I had never read. I found a beautifully illustrated edition at Maria’s Bookshop, while visiting Finley in Durango. Frankenstein is a gorgeous read and more engaging than most film adaptations, except for maybe Young Frankenstein.

CO trip and Badlands here
April

Erin and I went on a date to Kitty Cohen’s one rainy afternoon.
May

I went to the Lanier High School Class of ’85 40th Reunion and got to see a lot of my old pals, though admittedly, I still see most of my best friends from high school, because they are still my best friends.

Wes couldn’t make the official reunion, so Mat and I caught-up with him to catch the latest Mission Impossible flick.
June

Ryan and I continued our plan to meet at various coffee shops around town on available Saturday mornings. In June, we met at Houndstooth Coffee.

August

I took the Aprilia on its first road trip to the ranch.
September

I spent a good deal of September playing Cyberpunk: 2077. The graphics are so good and the open world so beautiful and immersive, that I found myself pausing the storyline, just to walk around and do street photography.
Best Video Game of 2025
Cyberpunk: 2077
I was late coming to this game, but it allowed for early graphic issues to be patched and I was able to purchase the game with the incredible Phantom Liberty DLC. This is probably my second favorite open-world game, only barely behind the legendary Red Dead Redemption 2.
October

Ken approached me with a 1990 Audi Coupe Quattro barn find and against my better judgement, I have taken this on as my next project car. I will document its progress on this site.
Best TV Show of 2025
Slow Horses
Gary Oldman plays Jackson Lamb, an aging, shambling wreck of a spook, leading a team of dysfunctional misfits, now relegated to Slough House, a purgatory for disgraced British agents, as they struggle to make themselves useful. This is a brilliant adaptation of Mick Herron’s series of novels.
November

Erin and I went to Emo’s to see BØRNS and now, we ❤️ BØRNS!

Met Ryan for coffee at Kick Butt Coffee.
