Bar Crawl
Erin and I met the Duranies Thursday afternoon for a bar crawl, hitting the Downtown Cocktail Room, Silver Stamp, Velveteen Rabbit, and ReBAR. I can’t attest to anything that happened after that. Or before.
The Strat Tower SkyJump
The next morning, Erin decided that it would be a good idea for us to jump off of North America’s tallest freestanding tower. Sure. So we made our way to The Strat and after a quick safety briefing, they put us into jumpsuits (presumably to make clean-up easier) and sent us up to the 108th floor, where we jumped off.
Bavette’s
We had an absolutely amazing dinner at Bavette’s.

Camera’s aren’t allowed in the Cirque du Soleil theater, so I do not have any photographs of their premier and most spectacular show — “O”, now celebrating its 25th year, so here is a photograph of the stunning ceiling at the Bellagio, which is covered with artist Dale Chihuly’s hand-blown flowers in a piece called “Fiori di Como.”

Jason had to leave early to get ready to DJ for the after-show party, so as he walked past us on the next-to-last-row on the floor, he handed me his two tickets. Erin insisted that I take David and move up to Jason’s seats towards the front. With only a few songs left in the show, I grabbed David and we tore-off towards the stage. Various ushers would check our tickets and wave us forward. We finally got to an usher that said we had gone too far and indicated we should go back. We turned and approached the next usher and showed him our tickets. He looked at them and had us follow him even closer to the front. We got to the front row and he said to sit anywhere there was an open seat. I couldn’t believe it! I was on the front row for my wild boys! And with my best friend. I couldn’t believe our good fortune.
BrewDog After-Show Party with Dom Brown
We ended the trip with an epic night of dancing at the after-show party at BrewDog, starring Dom Brown and our own Velvet Rebel.
