The Uganda mission team will be hosting a presentation event at Austin Christian Fellowship, on Sunday, September 27, at 6:30 PM. There will be stories, testimonies, and lots of photos from the trip. We will talk about Arise Africa and our plans to continue to support that ministry. This will be open to the public, so I hope you will join us.
Here is the teaser I made, using footage I shot on the trip with the new D90. We will be running this for the next few weeks, during the weekend services.
Please pin, tweet, and share! Most importantly, let me know what you think in the comments below.

there’s some great looking footage in there, Jimmy. The shot of Kevin, and the shot of the guy in the blue suit next to the car/truck show exactly why I want to shoot video with a DSLR.
Thanks, Jim! Yeah, the shot of Kevin is one of my favorites. I think if I practice more and figure-out my focusing issue (uh, I probably just need to wear my glasses), I can get even better footage with that camera. I can’t wait to see what you can get out of it. I’ll bring it to you, tomorrow.
I don’t know about the DSLR and all that stuff but I thought it was great, can’t wait to see and hear all about it on the 27th.
Love, Mom
Howdy! As you left Texas and entered the nation of Uganda you remembered to pack your laughter. As you shared this gift you were given hundreds of smiles that warmed your hearts and will leave a memory in your minds that’s unforgettable. My prayer is that you will be able to give the ones your share your trip with a glimpse into the joy and pain of the people captured through your video and camera lenses. My prayer is that the support you receive will overwhelm you and be assured that you have trailblazed a path that many will follow. Be encouraged that what you did was to pull back the curtains and expose light on the needs of a people that will generate continual support for the people you serve in Uganda. Howdy from Southern California!
Jimmy, such a beautiful video. I can’t wait to see the rest of your footage. Blessings!
