In March 2018, I purchased and installed a Curt Trailer Hitch and Cargo Carrier for my Ford Focus ST.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I purchased the hitch and cargo carrier from etrailer.com. Their excellent website guided me to the correct hitch, which is made specifically for the Focus ST, because it needs to fit just above the center-mounted dual exhaust. My five year-old daughter and I installed the hitch in about an hour using the very detailed instructions here and basic tools (you will need a drill). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The biggest concerns that I had with the trailer hitch was around the fitment of the hitch between the body of the car and my center-mounted exhaust. But the hitch fits right between the dual exhaust tips perfectly and is barely visible at all. More importantly, there is no rattling or noise related to the hitch. It is a perfect product and I am a very satisfied customer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cargo carrier had to be assembled and took about about half an hour with hand tools, but was actually quite a hassle to assemble, because all of the nuts and bolts needed for assembly need to be aligned perfectly before being tightened, or it will throw-off the alignment elsewhere. Once built, it is also an excellent product. No matter how hard I pushed against it, it remained tight and close to the body of the car, but it did not make contact anywhere. My large cooler that I use for camping fit into it perfectly and the design of the carrier made it easy to tie-down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, the cargo carrier was destroyed in a rear-end accident. But, it protected my car and what would have certainly been more expensive damage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I highly recommend both products, especially the Curt hitch, which is easily the best modification I have done to this car, and I would recommend getting them both from the professionals at etrailer.com.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
